so, not long now until i'm off on holiday again. italy, again, but this time to the amalfi coast, for annalies' birthday. i was never really a big fan of italy, until i went, of course. now, i can't get enough of it and i am already dreaming of the next italian destination (either lake como or cinque terra).. i suppose i should just get through this next one first though, right?

so, we're away for six nights. that's an entiiiiire week, and the last week-long holiday i had was over christmas. it'll be so nice to be out of the office for the extended period of time, but also, it gives us plenty of time to see and do all the things, but also, just to chill out for a bit. our resort has a pool, naturally, so i am already scouting potential pool-side books for holiday reading (taking suggestions too!) during the down time, but mostly, i am panicking about what to pack.

a week means lots of outfits. it means potentially a really nice maxi dress for birthday drinks, a couple of pairs of comfy walking sandals, trainers for when we day trip out to pompeii and dare to considered trekking up and around mount vesuvius. it means midi and maxi skirts, and maybe a pretty jumpsuit. statement jewellery. a denim jacket. sunglasses. it probably also means a swimsuit, which i'm not sure i'm really ready to tackle just yet.. that's something i'll panic-buy and then regret-pack closer to the departure date.

until now, i am window shopping some different stores to what i'm used to, to see if a change really is as good as a holiday. i'm not sure it is, even if the store is as aptly named for the occasion as coast is.
