What are you looking for?

these shoes were made for walking

last week i was contacted by the good folks over at clarks with an invitation and to their upcoming press day (which i probably won't be able to go to, because of allll the flat hunting which is currently infiltrating all of my free time. is this what being single is all about? if so, no thanks.), and a press release with their latest and super preeeetty s/s14 pieces inside. the timing couldn't have been more perfect, because with the change in the weather and the looming move on the horizon, i've been meaning to clear out some of the utter crap in my wardrobe, and update the options for spring.

well, with a couple of hours to kill on thursday night before yet another wasted hour viewing  yet another completely inappropriate flat, i headed to clarks on oxford street to check out some of their beauties for myself. and boy, was i spoiled for choice. i was looking for something sensible; practical and versatile was the order of the day. with the majority of my current footwear choices being primark or new look cheapies, i don't really have anything of very good quality that would last a season, or take very good care of my feet. i am getting old now, you know, and if there's one thing i know about good quality shoes that look after your feet, it's clarks do it best.

with every spring colour from white to sand to creamy beige covered - and a honourable mention from some pretty silver sandals and - of course, the orla kiely for clarks chunky heels stealing my heart, i was totally in shoe heaven. i oohed and aahed over all of the candy coloured ballet flats and suede desert boots, before moving my attention to the womens new-in brogues. i needed something that would totally go with everything in my wardrobe, and i had something neutral in mind.

enter these glitter chase brogues in blush pink leather. aren't they the bees knees! the come in a few colours, but i have a pretty bashed up pair of tan brogues in my collection that most definitely need replacing, so, now they have been! the blush leather is so incredibly creamy and soft, and kind of... envelope my feet in a warm and comfortable blanket of adorability and comfort. seriously guys, i could not be more happy with my choice!

of course, it was still a touch decision with all of the sweet pastel shoes adorning the shelves.
these are just a few of my faves from the new range... which is yours?
