frock swap | pass the check

dress : donna's | jumper c/o f&f | cambridge satchel : asos | shoes : new look

remember last week when i said that when i think of donna, i think of mustard and burgandy? well, when i saw that she was planning to swap on this burgandy tartan number, i could have cried. i fought hard against the tartan trend of the last a/w season, having avoided it at all costs - one look at *that tartan dress* in primark last september had visions of the summer bay high uniform dancing in my mind. it was an instant no-go for me. i had no idea how i was going to style it. none!

and then *that* fluffy pink jumper arrived and my job was basically done for me! i couldn't help but throw a wee homage to the uniform trend by way of my heeled brogues and my delicious satchel, but... if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. right? check out how debs and donna styled the dress themselves:

it was really short, and really windy, and probably could've done with an iron. but...
tell me, what's the verdict; who styled it better?

  9. I love this skirt with the jumper. I bought this jumper after recently seeing it on Rachel's blog and I love it; keep finding new things to wear it over. I tried hard to avoid the tartan trend as well but my mum got me a tartan dress for Christmas which is actually really nice!
