bag c/o ji ji kiki // swing coat :: vintage // skirt + shoes :: new look // shirt + jumper + bow + tights :: primark

let's take a minute to worship the vintage coat, eh? i found this baby in a boot sale in the middle of summer, with a price tag £2. i didn't even stop to consider size, brand, warmth - nothing. i handed over my two coins and skipped merrily on my way home. it's been hanging in the wardrobe for months now, begging to be worn, and thanks to the unseasonably cold autumn we find ourselves in, well... she's getting her day in the sun (so to speak).

i'm not normally a monochrome kinda gal; the more colour the better. i make exceptions for treasures like this though. i knew i would need a bold bag when wearing her, to compliment the houndstooth pattern and not blend into the background of another seasonal trend...

enter the a little bit of sunshine mustard bag from ji ji kiki. as soon as i saw it a few weeks ago, i knew it was going to be mine. the mustard yellow is the perfect shade to offset all of the houndstooth, and will support me right through the a/w13 monochrome trend. the bag has an adjustable strap which is perfect for me, as i like to wear them long and across the body (london safety brigade), but has a top handle too - for more handheld tote-ing. oh, and for bonus points, it's totally satchel-esque with the added secure straps on the front, and - let's be honest, satchel-esque is always the best kind of esque.

i vamped my sixties vibe up with a slick of plum lippy, a tube skirt, my new heeled brogues and a snappy, pointed collar. oh, and the obligatory faux-hive and fluffy jumper. #nailedit

what do you think - perfect or what?

~don't forget too - ji ji kiki are offering all being erica readers a very generous 15% off your order with the coupon code erica15. be quick though, there's only a couple of this baby left! happy shopping!
